Navigating Into the World of Nightlife

The world we lived in is still to be navigated. I know, something is sleeping there idly, waiting for someone to discover it. Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Journeying.....

It is exactly 6 days, 07 hours, 21 minutes and 44 seconds before leaving Dhaka City, Bangladesh for Manila, Philippines. I was scheduled to go back to the Philippines on May 03, 0100H via Hongkong. Whew, it's nice to be back to your home country.
I can now smell the fresh mango fruits, taste the mouth watering lechon (well Bangladesh is a Muslim country so pork was rarely available), explore of course our favorite bars like F, Bed, Government and so many other bars, not to mention Grills and Restaurant areas and visit the infamous Boracay and Puerto Galera. Too bad I wasn't able to join my friends in their Galera quest last Holy Week.
Well, I'm thinking of some sort of itineraries during my short stay in the Philippines.

1) Visit my Globe friends and reminisce having coffee in Starbucks or a drinking session.I miss that.
2) Explore the new disco area called Palawan 2.Actually, when I went to Dhaka, Palawan 2 is still non-existent. I just got the news from my friend whom I know frequently visiting the place.
3) Hang-out with my right handed friends, friends of the same feather I mean like Har, Imo, Jeff, Rene, Al, Alex, Donna, Arnie, Jeff, Gerd.
4) Hear mass in my favorite chapels, Sto.Domingo Church, St. Jude Chapel, St. Clare.
5) Watch Spidey in Imax Theater.
6) Lots and lots of shoppings in Glorietta, Gateway, Podium, Edsa Shang. I need a new havaianas, tons of shirts and pants.
7) Having a facial at Belo Med.
8) Get a new aquarium. I want to try saltwater aquarium but I think it is not easy to maintain. You have to check the salinity, ph level and all that.
9) and of course Globe Watch......

Being in the Philippines will surely make me bigger. I cannot resist sisig, pansit, ginataang alimango, monggo with baboy and ampalaya, yummy.
Well let's see. I don't want my bf to dump me because of being big. Well I can't blame him.We have a pact.We must maintain a manageable body figure. Naks.... Hahaha.

Philipines here I come......

Wow, it has been a lots of days since I made my first blog....

Dhaka City Photo Gallery

Cool Slideshows

To give you a snapshot of what am I doing in Bangladesh, here are some flicks for you to enjoy. Just click on the moving photos and it will be enlarged.
Last Saturday, I moved to my new apartment, from a hotel to a fully furnished apartment.
I'm now living with 2 other Filipinos. Well it was great living with a companion.
For the past 6 months of my stay in Dhaka City, I was all alone, in the confines of my four-walled hotel room.
Now that we are mandated to move to a new house, I felt ecstatic. When I was in the hotel, I do not cook my own meal. But now that we're living independently, I have to endure the sufferings of cooking, washing the dishes and the like.
Although we have our own maid servant, we don't want her to do all things for us.We can do it anyway.
By the way, I already got hold of my new 4GB blue Ipod nano. Can't wait to test it with the Ipod speaker which I also bought. Also, my 7.2MP Sony Cybershot DSC-T50 was very good, not to mention exceptional. I love it especially the touch screen thing.
Surely lots of candid shots will be taken using this camera.
These past few days was very busy for all of us.Lots and lots of things to do.We surely need something to refresh us, a spa maybe, a sip of A&W's rootbeer float, a quick drink of Coffeeworld's ice blended coffee (sorry, no Starbucks, or Figaro here), or a dive in Fantasy World's finest pools.
Let's see if we have the time to do all of this.Good luck!!!!!
Till next blog entry guys......

Bangladesh's Stairway to Heaven

Guys, its been so long, imagine, 6 months of no blog entries. That's a shame on my part as a blogger.
Well I'm already here, writing my first blog after a very lengthy absence.
How do I start? "Shobashonda!", that's the Bangla translation of Good Day.
Staying in Bangladesh is not that bad, very enjoyable. This may be attributed to the numerous number of Filipinos working here whom we constantly meet for a drinking spree every Thursday night and Friday night. Gosh, we usually go home 4 AM, either vomiting due to lots of drinks or suffering from sore throat due to unstoppable videoke. I can vividly remember my first day here in Dhaka City wherein, I was drunk, totally drunk well in fact I even don't know anybody that time and also my hotel.I even got absent the next day due to intense headache. What a memorable experience!!!!
My first month in Bangladesh was really unforgettable. In my first day, I got drunk, totally blank drunk. In my first week, we were seized by a police due to possession of liquor.Yes guys, you read it write. Liquor is prohibited in Bangladesh. We were riding a rickshaw when we were approached by two armed men.According to them they are police and they demand a search for our belongings.Naturally we declined to be searched. But we didn't do anything when they told us that we should be handcuffeds.God, never in my whole life that I experience wearing a handcuffs. With that we just stare at them as they rumage through our possessions. They found what they wanted, a Smirnoff Vodka. To cut the story short, we paid them money just to leave us alone.
Some of Bangladesh facts, trivias, and information.
a) Their famous mode of communication is rickshaw. It's like a pedicab pulled by what they call a rickshaw driver. Check my pics. That's a rickshaw.
b) Most people drink tea here since they have a large tea plantation, in a place called Sylhet.
c) The longest beach ever??? according to them can be found here, the infamous Cox Bazar.
d) Bangladesh's population is twice as many as in the Philippines where in fact their land area is only about a third of the Philippines (estimated).
e) Our working days here is Sunday to Thursday. Friday is their day of prayer.
f) Famous sport is cricket.

That's all folks. Will put another entry tomorrow....
