Welcome to our Boracay Escapade!!!!!!!
Early Friday morning around 5:30 , I miscalled my friends inorder to ready themselves for our Ultimate Stop... The fine Sand and Shore of Boracay in Aklan. This voyage have been planned barely a week ago, after the exciting Galera adventure.Still drowsy, I went back to sleep. We have agreed yesterday that all of us will meet at Cubao Bus Station at 0800H sharp for our initial trip to Bora. We will be cruising the nautical highway, in short Roll On, Roll Off.
7:00 AM- Al texted me informing that they are already in Cubao. God, I'm still enveloped with my bedsheets. Those two "pasneah" guys are really excited. The agreement is 8:00AM. Its barely 7:00 AM. Maybe they are thinking we will be boarding an air vehicle where you need at least an hour for check-in, seat picking and all other stuffs you do before flight. Dude, our mode of transportation is a BUS, an ordinary BUS. I hate the idea of riding an unairconditioned bus.
7:30 AM- After a quick shower,I'm already headed to Cubao. Hope I can make to our 8:30 AM trip considering the intense traffic during Fridays.
8:15 AM- I did it! I'm at the bus terminal 15 mins. before the trip.Hmmm.....It's a good start........
Imagine my shock when my friends informed me that the bus where we supposed to be boarded already left. All my energy just turned negative.Huhuhu.....
What now? was our question to ourselves.....
Too drained to argue with the bus staffs,We just looked for another bus that will transport us to Caticlan.Fortunately, we found one, GASAT Bus: ETD, 1:00PM. Time check, it's 9:00AM.God, we have to wait for 4 hours, imagine killing 4 hours of time with no malls open yet.Primary outlet: reading Sheldon's "Are you Afraid of the Dark".
The trip to Caticlan was very tiresome, not to mention the unexplicable incidents happened through the entire trip. And boy, it's my first to experience that the travel from Cubao to Pasay took 3 hours......It's only here in the Philippines, hehehe.
The barge have also its own share of headaches to us, making us sleep in the observation deck area.Imagine if it rained through the entire trip, just imagine.
At last, after a tiring, endless travel of land and water for about 17 hours the barge already docked to Caticlan Jetty Port.Whew....... BORACAY here we come!!!!!!!
A little info. Travelling to Caticlan via the nautical highway:
1) bus from Cubao to Batangas Port- I got cramped legs here.
2) barge from Batangas to Calapan Mindoro
3) bus from Calapan Mindoro to Roxas.
4) barge from Roxas to Caticlan-we were like stargazers here, sleeping while gazing in the open sky.
BORACAY DAY 1: I have here one of the best 15 minutes of my life. The banca ride was truly pleasurable, the scenic attractions are remarkable.Boracay sand are very fine, white and close to powdered.I have to smuggle some of these when I get back to Manila, my mind says. Palm Trees are strategically located, giving awe to beach goers.Truly magnificent.
We stayed at Station 3,to a newly constructed 2-story house. At Php 1200, it's not bad.We have a king size bed, a sala and a restroom with shower, no aircon.
After an hour or two of rest, we were already submerging into the cool waters of Bora. It's very refreshing......
As the dusk turn to twilight, Bora seems to change it's appearance, transformed into a well-lit splendid resort. What an astonishing landscape........
Our whole night were being spent by Watching Century Tuna Beach Bodies, firedancing, strolling into Boracay's D' Mall, and ended up with a drinking spree.
BORACAY DAY 2-Due to the drinking session last night, we woke up around 10 AM. That tequila(????) we drank flooded our senses with peculiarities.
I despise that wine, in fact we just drank only half of it and I can't withstand drinking the other half or just a sip of the half.
Wake up guys and lets explore Boracay waters again.....and let's explore the other image of Bora within the confines of stone structures near Station 3, hehehehe.
BORACAY DAY 3-I woke up without the ray of sunlight touching my face. This day is cloudy, with a cirrocumulus and a band of cumulonimbus in sight.I think it's going to rain. How's the feeling of swimming while raining???? Wet of course. (not a joke, hehehe).
Since it was our last day at Bora, we went shopping for giveaways to ofcmates, friends and relatives. I bought myself a Bob Marley malong, a Bora T-shirt (I tell you, Galera shirts are far better in print and quality than Bora shirts), a Bora cocomangas sleeveless shirt, and a Bora bandana. Wow, that cost me a lot. Whewwwwwww......
3:00 PM , we went home wet and exhausted....
At 4:00 PM, day 3, all our things are already packed and ready to leave Bora Island.
Our trip to Manila will be 7:30 PM via Negros Navigation.
